About Me
I have been on the path of self-understanding and embodiment since 2009, when I first experienced therapy and begun a meditation practice.
Since then, I've engaged an ongoing enquiry into the nature of myself, life and the world, through various practices and modalities.
I have a particular interest in how wider systemic, political, and cultural forces shape our lives, interconnecting with our individual and family histories.
Qualifications & Experience
I am accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists (ACPP), and I’ve been seeing Psychotherapy clients for over six years, since February 2019.
I hold a master’s degree (MA) in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy awarded by Middlesex University in collaboration with the Karuna Institute.
Prior to the MA, I completed a year-long Foundation certificate with the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, in Paddington, London.
From 2019-2022, I worked at a community Psychotherapy & Counselling Centre in Hackney, East London, alongside seeing private clients.
My Background
I was born in North London and have lived here most of my life, except for university and a couple of stretches abroad.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I was a teacher, trainer and supervisor of secular Mindfulness, working for a charity called the 'Mindfulness in Schools Project'.
Before that I worked for several years as a secondary school teacher in East London.
I enjoy adventuring in nature, reading fiction, playing guitar, dance, and following my local team, Arsenal.
UKCP Registered
I work in accordance with the UKCP Ethical Principles and Code of Professional Conduct. All of my work is conducted under regular supervison by an experienced, accredited UKCP supervisor.
